Formed in 1976, Mental as Anything became one of Australia’s most beloved rock bands, scoring more Top 40 hits than any other Australian act and soundtracking generations with their irreverent wit and unmistakable hooks. Following the passing of frontman Greedy Smith in 2019, the music lives on through X-Mentals — a powerhouse line-up featuring five former members of the original band.X-Mentals deliver an electrifying celebration of Mental as Anything’s greatest hits, including The Nips Are Getting Bigger, If You Leave Me Can I Come Too, Too Many Times, Berserk Warriors and the global smash Live It Up. Beyond the Mental as Anything catalogue, each member brings a rich musical history, having performed and recorded with legends such as Dragon, Jenny Morris, The Whitlams, Crowded House, Boom Crash Opera, The Models and Renée Geyer — with select hits from these artists woven into the evening.
