Creative and Visible Mending Woollens Learn how to mend creatively with wool – give a new life to that jumper with a hole in it or some other woolly garment which the moths have enjoyed. . Bring your own item to be repaired or just learn the techniques and tips from guest tutor, Karen Nicoll in our Courtyard Creatives workshop on 19 April.
Courtyard Creatives at Timeless Textiles is a series of monthly free mini workshops and we are now into our third year of offering these short fun workshops
For this free two hour workshop, please bring a woollen item to be repaired or a knitted/crocheted sample you can practise the mending techniques ie stitching on felt pieces, needle felting, darning and also embroidering on a underlying patch.
Bring your hand sewing kit, with a tapestry needle if possible ( some are available for use in the workshop) . Karen will generously supply wool /felt and will have needle felting equipment for you to use.
Morning tea is also provided. However, a donation is appreciated to help with some of the costs
