Come spend the morning outside with us at Yesness Pond on Saturday, June 6, from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. for Kids’ Fishing Day—a free community event made for kids and families to enjoy a relaxed day of fishing and fun together. Thanks to Wyoming’s Free Fishing Day, no fishing license is needed, so it’s the perfect chance for kids to try fishing for the first time or just enjoy a favorite outdoor tradition. The pond will be stocked with trout, and there will be plenty of opportunity for that exciting “first catch” moment.
Every child will receive a FREE fishing pole, and friendly local volunteers will be on site to help with casting, tying knots, and learning the basics. There will also be prizes, giveaways, and goodie bags to make the day even more special.
When you arrive, stop by the registration table to check in and grab event information for the day.
This event wouldn’t be possible without the support of our community partners, including the Community Recreation Foundation, Wyoming Game and Fish, North Platte Walleyes Unlimited, Grey Reef Trout Unlimited, Casper Recreation Division, Wyoming State Parks, and more.
Just bring your sunscreen, a chair, and get ready for a simple, fun morning outdoors with the family.
