Join us at The Bloomery for morning coffee and soil talk with Dr. Caitlin Youngquist on Saturday, June 6. Explore the connection between healthy soils, thriving ecosystems, and the food and flowers we grow and share.
With a deep love for western soils and local food systems, Dr. Caitlin Youngquist will guide participants through the first principles of soil health and ecosystem function. You’ll learn how to better understand the ground beneath your feet and how to manage it to support more productive gardens, landscapes, flowers and food.
This class is designed to be both inspiring and practical. It will help you apply soil pricinples anywhere in the world, whether you are tending a backyard garden or managing a larger growing space.
Caitlin will also share accessible, real-world ways to support local farmers and food organizations in Wyoming, and how each of us can contribute to a stronger local soil and food ecosystem.

Caitlin Youngquist holds a PhD in soil science, specializes in soil health, compost, no-till farming, cover crops, and community food security. She and her husband have a small vegetable farm and own a soil and compost company in Wyoming. https://www.dirtworkswyo.com/
The Bloomery is located just west of Casper, Wyoming. All of our events happen on the shaded lawn. Please bring a lawn chair or blanket for optimal comfort. Pets are not allowed.
Tickets are non-refundable. In the event of inclement weather, the workshop will be rescheduled. Tickets will automatically transfer to the new date.
