Our July 7th, 2024 meeting will be at 2 PM in the Charger Union building on the campus of UAH. We'll be somewhere in the lounge area in front of the Dunkin Donuts, which is around the center divider area across from the main entrance. The business portion of the meeting lasts about 45 minutes. Afterwards, we usually play a game like Star Trek Uno or Five Year Mission.Usually, we end up canceling or postponing the July meeting due to Independence Day holiday. However, this year, the first Sunday of the month falls far enough from the Fourth that it shouldn't interfere with any major plans. We decided at the January meeting that we would have our July meeting on the 7th. Just be aware that this meeting may be cancelled or postponed as we get closer to July, and our plans change.
The Charger Union building is located at 4705 Holmes Ave NW, which is in the southwest corner of the intersection with John Wright Dr NW. Even though open parking lot W20 next to it is for faculty use during the weekdays, we've been told that it's OK to park here on the weekends. In fact, we haven't had any problems parking inside the adjacent parking deck if you prefer to be out of the sun.
