Erica N. Cardwell is a writer based in Brooklyn and Toronto. She is the recipient of a 2021 Andy Warhol Foundation Arts Writers grant. Erica has been awarded residencies and fellowships from the Lambda Literary Foundation, Vermont Studio Center, Queer Art Mentorship, and Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. Her work has appeared in print or online for ARTS.BLACK, Art in America, C Mag, BOMB, The Believer, The Brooklyn Rail, frieze, CULTURED, Artsy, and elsewhere. She is a member of the International Art Critics Association (AICA) and is on the editorial board of Radical Teacher Journal. She teaches creative writing at the University of Toronto Scarborough.
