About this Event
Celebrate James Baldwin’s 100th birthday with the Portrait Gallery! The workshop will include reading and discussion of Baldwin’s writing and close looking at portraits. Using guided writing prompts, we will explore themes of social justice, sexuality, race, identity and resistance. This writing workshop accompanies the exhibition, “This Morning, This Evening, So Soon: James Baldwin and the Voices of Queer Resistance.”
Open to writers of all levels and genres, ages 18 and up.
