Have an old pair of jeans that you just can't give away? A hole-y sweater that's been sitting in the back of your closet? Here's your chance to make it brand spanking new and super cute with some mending. Bring an item of clothing that needs some TLC and you'll learn how to mend it up and make it totally fashionable with some simple stitching. Lots of fun and bright fabrics will be provided to complete your projects. Previous stitching experience not required.
<h4>ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:</h4>
Sophie Kanter is a textile artist living in Washington, DC. A native of the city, she is inspired by plants and everything nature has to offer, in addition to beautiful modern design. Her practice includes natural dyeing, embroidery, cross stitch, and much more! The best part of her art is sharing the process with others and seeing the unique creations of others. In addition to art, she also loves chocolate chip cookies and other people's dogs.
