Writing the end of Zionism

Just Write presents a workshop delivered by Hussein Mitha

Using tools for anti-colonial, abolitionist and revolutionary sci-fi, speculative fiction and theory, participants will respond to writing prompts that imagine the chain of events that leads to the end of Zionism, and the downfall and abolition of all borders and carceral regimes.

Materials will be provided during the session and no prior reading is required. Participants are welcome to contribute and share as much or as little as they would like to without pressure. There will be a 10 minute comfort break midway through the session. Tickets are on a sliding scale, so please consider this when booking your place.

About Hussein:

Hussein Mitha has a diverse practice that incorporates writing, organising workshops and collective learning platforms, mural making, and collaboration with other artists and community groups. Their debut collection, Vegetal Soul, was published by Rosie’s Disobedient Press in 2023. You can follow Hussein on Instagram.

Just Write was established by Blue Kirkhope in April 2023 to create an informal, relaxing, safe and motivating space for writers from Glasgow and beyond to come together and focus on their craft. Note for attendees: 15 attendees maximum. Snacks, tea and milk will be provided, but we ask that you please bring along your own mug if you want a cuppa!
