A Systems Improvement and Equity Approach to Addressing the Needs of Dually Identified Students.
About this Event

This virtual professional development session is designed for Special Education, General Education, and English Language Development (ELD) specialists. The focus will be on providing comprehensive support for English learners (ELs) within the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) framework. Participants will gain insights into the pre-referral and special education referral processes for ELs to better support and understand the Individualized Education Program (IEP) requirements.

Target Audience:

  • ELD Coordinators and Teachers
  • Special Education Providers and Teachers
  • Special Education Administrators
  • School Psychologists
  • Other school staff who conduct special education assessments and support students dually identified as having an IEP and are English Language Learners.

Participants should bring their own devices and note-taking materials. This event is Virtual. All registered participants will receive a calendar invitation from SELPA where all presentation materials will be made available, including the link to participate virtually.
