Write Your Grief Workshop

You are warmly invited to join us for this gentle day of grief tending in community where you will have time and space to explore and express your feelings around loss. We will weave together a powerful stream-of-consciousness writing activity, small group work, circle sharing, and a simple, inclusive ceremony, followed by feasting, soothing and integration.
This circle is for anyone who is feeling the pain of grief and loss and looking for a place where those feelings can be welcomed, witnessed and held.

Writing shuttles is a creative and powerful way of tapping into and expressing our feelings around loss. We have found that the invitation to write in this stream-of-consciousness mode can help us bypass the censors that sometimes block our painful experiences from coming into the light of day, where they can be witnessed and transformed.
We do this work in small groups of three, supported by the wider holding of our pop-up village. No previous writing experience is needed, and there's also the option to use crayons and pastels to 'draw your grief' instead.
Together we will build a strong container to support our group journey, working with tried and tested, trauma-informed practices.
These practices are invitations - it's all optional, which means you can participate as much or as little as you choose. We always emphasise self-care, and encourage you to go at your own pace and find your own way through our collective journey.
𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴
* current grief for bereavement, health issues and life changes
* long-term grief, passed down through families and culture
* grief for our earth, for the destruction of what we love, and for future generations
* pain for the collective troubles of the planet and its people
* grief that feels stuck or frozen.
You may also wish to simply explore grief as a spiritual practice, or as a path to personal and cultural healing.
We're offering this event on a gift basis where you choose the amount of your financial gift.
