About: Write jokes on any topic at any time, with proven techniques and tricks of professional comedy writers. Learn timing, joke construction, premise development and how to work around writer's block and not feeling inspired. Mike guarantees you'll write an original joke in the first 10 minutes, and have a notebook full of unique bits and premises by the end of the workshop. Class will run for 4 consecutive Sundays starting July 12th from 11 AM - 2 PM.
Your Facilitator: Hundreds of comedians, comedy writers, advertising execs and regular folks have taken Mike's workshops and swear by his simple and fun joke writing techniques. His experience includes decades as a television comedy writer, as well as a lifetime as a stand up comic. He's performed around the world, on HBO and podcasts, and has made multiple appearances on the Tonight Show.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- Student Level Requirements: All experience levels are welcome, from beginners to longtime pros taking the workshop for the third or fourth time. The only requirement is to show up on time, participate fully, and bring pen and paper to write with.
- If the course is cancelled, tuition will be refunded.
- Age requirement: 19-119 welcome!

- PARKING: Paid parking available in the back of the Hashtag Theater space when spots are available. Additional paid street parking is available on High Street and around the theater.
