📚 Help Bring Little Free Libraries/Blessing Boxes to Whittier! 📚The Whittier Residents Association is working toward installing up to 6 Little Free Libraries/Blessing Boxes across our neighborhood in 2026 — creating free, walkable access to books for kids, families, and neighbors of all ages.
Here’s how we’ll make it happen:
✅ Step 1: Identify Locations
We’re working with neighbors, leaders, and community partners to find safe, visible, and accessible spots in Whittier (57103).
✅ Step 2: Secure Funding & Support
We’re applying for City neighborhood grant funding and welcoming donations, volunteers, and book contributions.
✅ Step 3: Install the Libraries
With community volunteers, we’ll install up to six weather-ready Little Free Libraries.
✅ Step 4: Stock & Share
Each library will be filled with a mix of children’s, youth, and adult books or blessing items— free to take, read, or share.
✅ Step 5: Stewardship & Care
Local neighbors will help keep the libraries stocked and loved for years to come.
