About this Event
The global water crisis does not affect everyone equally.
Across the world, women and girls bear a disproportionate burden of water insecurity - collecting water, managing household hygiene and sanitation, and facing the heightened health risks consequences when systems fail - while remaining systematically excluded from the decisions that shape water policy and infrastructure.
Climate change is compounding these inequalities, as droughts, floods, and shifting rainfall patterns disproportionately impact those with the least power to adapt.
Join us to celebrate World Water Day by hearing more about these challenges and how WaterAid Australia is working with communities and governments in Cambodia, Timor Leste and Papua New Guinea to strengthen climate resilient and gender responsive WASH systems.
This event is open to all UNSW staff and students.
