Cultural Awareness Training

The Fundamentals workshop is interactive and invites participants to share their experiences and knowledge of cultural competence within their professional and personal lives. It covers:

• Foundational theory and practice of cultural competence: develop participants’ core conceptual understandings.
• How worldview and socialisation shape interactions: explore how one's upbringing, values, and cultural background influence behaviour and attitudes.
• Understand the impact of our cultural identities: examine how cultural identities affect relationships and cross‑cultural dynamics
• Introduce key concepts including culture, bias, and inequity which underpin cultural competence development.
• Workplace applications: How do we develop the cultural competence capacity of our workplaces?
