Kara has been dancing and teaching Argentine Tango in Argentina and around the world for over 25 years. As a teacher, she has developed a pedagogy designed to empower students by providing tools for solid technique, deep connection, musicality, and improvisation. She builds these concepts step by step, guided by the belief that when something can be explained simply, it can be more effectively transmitted. Her focus is less on the what of the movement and more on the how and why. Whether in an open or closed embrace, Kara emphasizes maintaining a connection that is sensitive, communicative, and sensual for both leaders and followers.. . .

6pm ::: Balanced Turning and Changes of Dynamics
Understanding the giro as one of tango’s essential blueprints. we'll change the normal musicality and play with a range of musical options in both open and close embrace.
7pm ::: Circular movements of Calesita vs. Planeo
We’ll explore how to execute both, and understand their differences. Cultivate a clear sense of your partner’s axis, a stable yet flexible embrace, and as always, a sense of play.

Adorning that’s clean, sharp and expressive!
We’ll explore the richness and playfulness of adornments including boleos. Is it high or low, fast or slow, elastic or compact?
