Workshop: POETIC ALCHEMY – Tracing Collective Futures Through Interdisciplinary Art3pm Jan 16 at Red Door Gallery, Copenhagen
Join us for an immersive workshop that explores the intersection of poetry, visual art, performance, and eco-consciousness. Led by the founder of Red Door, Madam Neverstop (Elizabeth Torres), this experience invites participants to create poetic multimedia works that address the future of our collective existence, grounded in sustainability, interconnection, and transformation.
In this workshop, we will engage with poetry as a dynamic, interdisciplinary tool to imagine and trace collective futures. Through the use of typewriters, erasure, cut-up techniques, digital technologies, and environmental soundscapes, participants will create works that reflect on the ecological, social, and cultural shifts necessary for a sustainable tomorrow. This process of creative exploration will extend beyond the written word, incorporating visual elements and performative gestures, allowing poetry to become a multidimensional reflection of our interconnected world.
The workshop will culminate in a collaborative multimedia reading and performance, where participants can present their work in a shared, immersive environment. As an integral part of the workshop, all creations will be included in a week-long collective exhibition, further strengthening the communal aspect of the creative process.
