Please make sure to arrive at 17:30 sharp. Our volunteer needs the full 1h30 to cover everything you need to be introduced too!

Booking etiquette
If you would like to attend this session but find that it is already fully booked, new sessions across both Tool Library workshops are published on eventbrite weekly every Thursday evening at 20:00.
Cancelling and £5 no-show fee
Out of courtesy to our volunteers please cancel your booking 48 hours in advance. This will give us the opportunity to offer the workbench to another member and make the most of the time our volunteers are offering.
If you fail to attend the session, we have the right to deduct a no-show fee donation of £5 from your registered card on myTurn. If there is any issues with cancelling online, contact us on [email protected].

What about other tools in the workshops that are not included in the general induction?Once you've attended our general induction, you'll be able to book your spot for an open session. During the open session, you will be able to ask to be inducted on machines and tools that you might need for your project and that are not included in the general induction. This option will be available based on the knowledge of the workshop volunteers on shift and the busyness of the session.
What about the lathe? Because of the level of skills and attention required to induct someone on the lathe we are not able to offer this as part of our general induction or during our open sessions. You would need to attend our class “Introduction to Woodturning” in order to use the lathe during our open sessions. We run this monthly and you can book a spot through our eventbrite page.
