This two-day beginning blacksmith workshop will be held at the Museum’s smithy with instructor Michael Murphy, the Museum’s resident blacksmith. 🔥 This workshop is for people with little to no blacksmith experience.
Each person will have the opportunity to work with the traditional coal-burning forge, as well as the more modern propane-burning forge.
Materials will be provided and participants may take their creations with them at the end of the day.
🔥 Please be aware that this is a physically demanding program.
*This is an outdoor workshop
* All participants must be at least 14 years of age. All participants under 16 must have adult supervision (chaperone does not need to register if they’d only like to watch).
