Workplace Integrity for Business Growth: Law, Technology & Accountability in Action

A safe, respectful and dignified workplace is a fundamental human right. Well-governed workplaces are a hallmark of sustainable and competitive business, helping to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 5: Gender Equality and 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth and strengthening long-term organisational performance.

The UK Worker Protection Act 2023 and the forthcoming Employment Rights Bill require employers to take proactive steps to prevent workplace misconduct and embed robust accountability systems. For growth-focused businesses, these changes represent an opportunity to transform compliance into strategic value - improving retention, reducing reputational and legal risks and strengthening culture.

Aston’s UN PRME Lead (Principles of Responsible Management Education), Dr Galina Goncharenko, and the Aston Centre for Enterprise and Entrepreneurship, invite you to explore the practical impact of the new legislation and how businesses can build safe, accountable and high-performing workplaces, with insights from:

· Shannon Moore, Employment Law Solicitor, Cole Khan Solicitors LLP and

· Rosie Turner, Co-Founder of InChorus, misconduct reporting & speak-up technology.

Designed for business owners, organisational leaders, entrepreneurs and participants in programmes such as Help to Grow: Management Course and Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses UK, this workshop will enable participants to gain insight into:

· Legal expectations and accountability duties for organisations under the evolving regulatory landscape.

· Best practices for integrating technological innovations and AI-powered systems to improve misconduct reporting and eradicate toxic workplace patterns.

· Instruments to assess workplace environments and risks and to develop a holistic accountability strategy that supports meaningful employee involvement, strengthens stakeholder communication and is tailored to business needs.
