About this Event

This 1-hour training session is geared towards change makers of your organization. Participants will learn how to create change regarding tobacco policy implementation, while facing resistance from staff. Skills will be gained to be able to effectively communicate with resistant staff about tobacco use and the consequences of it, gain staff buy-in, and implement a successful plan for creating a tobacco-free facility.

Who Should Attend: This training is designed for administrative and/or clinical staff of Alameda County Public Health Department-contracted provider organizations and Alameda County Behavioral Health-contracted substance use treatment and mental health programs. However, any and all staff are welcome to attend.

Format: This training will be held virtually, and registration is required. After registering through Eventbrite, you will be sent the Zoom meeting details.

Trainer: Dr. Tara Geer-Leiker, PhD
