About this Event
Working with Gender in Psychotherapy
Join us for an engaging in-person event all about understanding gender in psychotherapy!
This is a chance to reflect, share and compare attitudes and experience with fellow therapists in a confidential setting.
As a group we'll do a couple of exercises you might find helpful both in reflecting on personal experience, and when exploring gender with clients.
We intentionally keep our training groups small to allow for maximum comfort, engagement, and participation.
Facilitator Oisin Quin (they/them) is a qualified therapist, trainer, and group facilitator. Oisin is a queer, neurodivergent, non-binary therapist and predominantly works with LGBTQIA+ people and allies. Oisin takes a trauma-informed, consensual, anti-racist and anti-oppressive approach to their work.
Testimonials:
An enjoyable, interesting and really thought provoking workshop.
In the short time available I felt [Oisin] encapsulated the complexity of this specific area so well. The morning evoked for me so many different thoughts and feelings in a containing and safe environment.
The experiential exercises enabled an exploration of some aspects of my own and others relationship to gender
Oisin was brilliant - so knowledgeable
