About this Event
This workshop is all about working therapeutically with adult ADHD. It's led by therapeutic practitioner, Liz Smith, who has extensive experience working with ADHD in the therapy room, and learning and development practitioner, Aitch Nicol. Both are a mixed bag of neuro-spiceyness, including ADHD, Autism, Dyspraxia & Dyscalculia.
The workshop will be part taught and part experiential, using breakout groups to explore our own experiences and to learn from one another. Please be prepared to participate in discussions.
Topics covered:
- What is ADHD?
- How can ADHD impact adult mental health?
- Diagnosis, treatment and support approaches
- ADHD in women and girls
- The affirmative approach to working with ADHD
- Introduction to adapting for ADHD clients
Concession rates are available for students/trainees and those on low wages. We also offer two pay as you feel tickets per course for those who are unwaged/in receipt of benefits and have no other income.
