About this Event

Working in the Social Justice Sector

Come join us for an insightful event about working in the social justice sector. Learn from experts in the field about their journeys into the sector, experiences of working in charities and campaigning organisations, and hear them reflect on challenges faced and successes achevied.

From communications to casework, there are a diverse range of career pathways in the social justice sector. For this event we have brought together a panel of experts in their field and type of work - come along to find out more about the sector and potential career options.

We are thrilled to be joined by Aniesha Obuobie (Grenfell Project Coordinator, INQUEST), Katie Fallon (Advocacy Manager, Campaign Against Arms Trade), Don Travis (Photography and Community Educational Practitioner, Future Hackney) and David Nolan (Senior Investigative Researcher, Amnesty International). The panel will be chaired by Naomi Oppenheim (Team Lead, Centre for Social Justice Research and INQUEST Heritage Manager). There will be time for audience questions after the panel.

Continue the discussion over tea and doughnuts whilst connecting with social justice experts, students, staff and partner organisations.

This in-person event will be held at The Pavillion, 115 New Cavendish St. Don't miss out on this opportunity to meet others who are passionate about social justice and gain employability insight into this vital sector.

This event is part of a dynamic programme of work-based learning, knowledge exchange and community impact at the Centre for Social Justice Research thanks to funding from the Quentin Hogg Trust.
