An inspiring and engaging group process supporting engagement with the climate and ecological crisis
About this Event

A 6 week (5 session) course exploring the Work that Reconnects - through personal reflection, group exercises and community building.

Over a series of 5 workshops participants will be guided through the Work's spiral of practices: Gratitude, Honouring Our Pain for the World, Seeing with New Eyes/Ancient Eyes, and Going Forth.

Within an atmosphere of safety and trust, each workshop will offer group exercises, poetry and song to engage participants, whilst encouraging conversation and sharing as we move through the stages of the spiral together. Periods of silence will also be included.

These workshops are open to anyone engaging with the climate and ecological crises and/or anyone who wishes to become more active. We aim to facilitate an honest sharing of hopes and fears and to support participants to sustain long-term engagement and personal wellbeing.

Because the sessions lead on from one another in a structured way, and because they aim to build connection and trust within the group, we ask that participants can attend all 5 sessions. (Attending 4 out of 5 sessions would be acceptable.)

WHERE: A+E project space/Chapter House, St Mary's Episcopal Cathedral, Edinburgh - access via Manor Place. We'll also make use of the Song School and Cathedral grounds. (Precise location details will be emailed to participants once they've sign up.)

WHEN: 6.30-9pm. June 2nd, 9th, 23rd, 30th, and July 7th 2025. (Arrival from 6pm - refreshments served.)

DONATIONS: we've suggested a sliding scale donation. For those who can't afford the minimum suggested donation, please send an email to [email protected]. We have subsidised places available for those who need them.

BOOKING YOUR TICKET: If you plan to attend all 5 workshops you only need to book once (on the first date). If you can attend most but not all of the workshops please email [email protected] to register your interest. Hopefully there will be places available, but we'll need to prioritise participants who can attend all 5 workshops.
