Word of Mouth Cincinnati, now in its 12th year, welcomes two visiting poets from two different town on March 29:STEVE ABBOTT, a Columbus, Ohio, native, has authored five chapbooks and two full-length collections, “A Green Line Between Green Fields” and “A Language the Image Speaks”, 46 ekphrastic poems accompanying the artworks that inspired them. He has been an associate editor for two poetry journals and was a founder and co-host of The Poetry Forum, which between 1984 and 2023 became the nation’s second-longest-running poetry series. He has also co-edited three poetry anthologies and edits Ohio Poetry Association's annual journal Common Threads. He has never danced the macarena.
BILL VERBLE lives and works in Lexington, Kentucky. His debut collection, “Absence Descending”, explores themes of change and loss. His poems have appeared in Poeming Pigeon, Spare Parts Literary, Okay Donkey, and Yearling He has been honored with a Pushcart nomination. Bill also serves as the treasurer for the Kentucky State Poetry Society. He loves participating in Lexington Poetry Month each year and enjoying the work of the many superb poets who contribute.
