About this Event
Each Winter we plant thousands of trees in South Devon and on Dartmoor. During the Spring and Summer months we revisit previously planted sites to survey the biodiversity. You'll learn an array of new skills including tree identification, tree health, how to survey and record effectively, be part of a citizen science project and join a group of like-minded people!
The information we gather will be crucial in monitoring the health of the woodlands and allow us to better plan the woodlands of the future. Help us ensure the trees, grown from seed collected in ancient semi-natural woodland by our amazing volunteers, become the future forests of Dartmoor.
Our day starts at 11am and we'll carry out surveying of our trees and the biodiversity of the site and enjoying the scenery. We'll stop for lunch, before continuing in the afternoon.
Sometimes, we may visit two sites in one day. Each week we will be visiting a different site, so please note the change in address!
Please meet us at 10.30am for an 11am start
