🌞 Combe Village Show is back on Sunday 12th July, 11am-5pm and you’re invited to the best family day out of the summer! Set on the beautiful Hearn Field, our six and a half acres of riverside green space, this year’s show is packed with fun, food, music and community spirit.🎪 What’s happening on the day?
There’s something for everyone:
• Local vendors serving delicious food, artisan treats and handmade crafts
• Face painting for little ones (and not so little ones!)
• A children’s entertainer with a classic Punch and Judy show and seaside themed games
• A chance to meet friendly alpacas
• Live music throughout the afternoon
• A lively Tug of War competition — bring your cheering voice
• A fully stocked bar to keep spirits high
All set against the backdrop of one of the most beautiful community spaces in Devon.
🌿 Why we hold a Village Show:
Combe Village Show isn’t just a fun day out — it’s how we celebrate and protect the incredible asset we share as a community: Hearn Field. This riverside haven is our village’s beating heart — a place to gather, relax, meet neighbours, make new friends, and enjoy the outdoors together.
But keeping Hearn Field thriving takes care, maintenance and ongoing funding. Events like the Village Show help us raise the essential money needed to look after the field — not just for today, but for future generations who will play, picnic, celebrate and connect here.
💛 Entry by donation
We’re not charging a set entry fee. Instead, we’re inviting visitors to make a donation. We’re suggesting £3 per person — a small contribution that gives you access to fantastic entertainment and directly supports the upkeep of Hearn Field.
Every donation, every slice of cake, every pint at the bar, and every smiling face helps keep this space alive for our whole community.
