Each Saturday blends engaging storytime with hands-on art inspired by influential women artists.
On March 21, children explore sculpting and embossing inspired by Augusta Savage, discovering texture, shapes, and hand-built design.
On March 28, young artists dive into portrait painting inspired by Laura Wheeler Waring, mixing colors and celebrating individuality through expressive faces.
All materials are provided, and each child leaves with original artwork. Caregivers are welcome to stay and create together.
Saturday, March 21, 2026 — Augusta Savage: Sculpting & Embossing Day
Children will be introduced to sculptor Augusta Savage, an artist known for shaping powerful works with her hands.
