I used to refurbish old spinning wheels and add modern tension systems, harvest my own wool from my Angora rabbits, hand-spin the wool, and knit a lot of complex patterns. After suddenly losing my mobility, I was unable to sit up for longer periods of time or lift over 1 lb, so I've been working on trying to figure out new ways to craft that don't tire my arms. Most online knitting groups I've been to are fairly large and don't emphasize conversation as much as I'd like.
