Join the Mioe Creative Collective for our upcoming event designed for creative women in the region. This session includes a talk, debate, info on upcoming opportunities and a chance to meet like minded creatives. It is part of the Women Who Create Wales, St David's Festival.
Basecamp will be selling hot and cold drinks and cakes for purchase at the event and parking is available on The Strand, and at Park Tawe Shopping Centre.
This session is co-hosted by Klara Sroka MA - artist and curator of the Know Your Place exhibition at Cyfarthfa Castle Museum, championing inclusive, socially engaged stories of underrepresented women.
Know Your Place - is a new exhibition opening Spring 2026.
She Debates: Women, Power & the Creative Space - a dynamic symposium from Cyfarthfa Castle Museum and Art Gallery championing women creatives.
Natalie Chapman is a Wales‑based figurative painter whose work draws on lived experience of social housing, exploring resilience, identity, and silenced working‑class and female narratives.
Natasha Toms is an artist‑researcher whose practice uses historic paintings and self‑made pigments to reframe hidden narratives, amplifying overlooked voices while shaping her own.
Beth Leahy is a South Wales Valleys portrait painter whose contemporary practice explores identity through personal experience and digital visual culture, examining how mediated imagery shapes perception and relationships.
Eleanor Whiteman is a South Wales–based artist working across painting, print and photography, drawing on geology to explore landscape, layers and deep time, often using pinhole photography.
