Women of Craft Beverage: A Panel of Empowerment, Inclusion & Equality

Come join us at Lost Generation Brewing Company for an inspiring event celebrating women in the craft beverage industry!

The incredible panel of 9-10 will represent different roles, from distilling to brewing and everything in between. Our panel of experts will share their experiences and insights , making this a perfect event for anyone looking to connect, learn, and be inspired. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to be a part of the conversation and support women, minorities, People of Color and the LGBTQIA+ in craft beverage!

This fundraising event benefits the Michael James Jackson Foundation (MJF),a grant-making organization that funds scholarship awards to Black, Indigenous, and People of Color within the brewing and distilling trades. The MJF is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in New York City. All funds donated to the MJF will be allocated by, and used exclusively for, the work of the MJF.

There will also be a silent auction with all proceeds benefitting the MJF. If you are unable to attend the event, we will be sharing the Silent Auction site information, for you to bid or simply donate if your heart so desires! Thank you for being the change we all need and supporting the diverse future of the craft beverage industry.

The $35 tickets include two slices of Pizza from Andy’s and two 12oz draft beers from Lost Generation, staff gratuity, as well as an included donation to the MJF.

Annie McGinnis : Co Owner of Vine Street Brewing Co. Missouri's First Black-owned brewery.

Breeze Galindo : Director of Operations for the Michael James Jackson Foundation and Founder and Head Brewer of Mi Luna Brewing, NY.

Becky Harris : Co Owner and Master Distller at Catoctin Creek Distillery in VA

Courtney Rominiyi : Co Founder of the Black Brew Movement.

Emily Brown : Beverage Director of Andy's Pizza

Jenn Anderson : Sommelier, co-founder of Novella Wines and Beverage Director and front-of-house lead at Michelin starred Reverie

Julie Verratti : Co Founder and Chief Brand Officer of Denizens Brewing in MD

Leah Cheston : Co-owner of Right Proper Brewing and the chairwoman of the Brewers Association (BA) board of directors.

Tasha Dixon : Head Brewer at Ardent Craft Ales in Richmond, VA

DC Beer will have no monetary benefit from this event or silent auction. All of the funds go toward the MJF, food and service cost for the event.

Guests can purchase any additional beers to consume on site or beer to go separetely, if they choose to have more than the two included in their ticket. Guests are responsible for their own open tabs and subject to any fees associated through the Lost Generation purchase.

Info: Please arrive promptly and use this time to order your beers, eat your pizza, view and bid on the silent auction items, meet and greet, mingle and settle in before the start of the panel.

Info: The panel will begin promptly at 7pm. We have an incredible group of women and we must give them the respect and time they need to fully engage in the evening's panel. This also allows for audience questions and meaningful conversations.

Info: We will use this time to announce the silent auction winners and disperse won items. Please use this time to order your last round, close your tabs if you have purchased any beer more than your two included pints. Take photos, connect, etc. We will respectfully depart no later than 9:15pm to allow Lost Generation staff to close for the night. Thank you for your understanding.
