About this Event
Please join Women In Tax for an evening discussion about nurturing oneself in a fast-paced work environment whilst creating habits to balance your health in all areas of wellbeing - mental, physical and spiritual. The event is kindly hosted by BDO and the panel discussion will be followed by networking drinks and canapes.
We are delighted to welcome a variety of women speakers who will share their experiences and top tips for navigating and thriving in the busy world we live in.
The panel includes:
Karen McGrory - a Partner at BDO, Karen has over 30 years’ experience advising employers on the tax and social security issues that arise when sending employees on international assignment. She will talk about her experiences of managing the menopause alongside work and caring for elderly parents.
Dipti Thakrar - an experienced Head of Group Tax who is the M&A Tax Practice Lead at Hitachi Energy as well as a freelance tutor for BPP and a committee member for Women in Tax. She is a mum of 4 and will share her top tips for managing your children's needs whilst working in a demanding work setting.
Am Downing - an Associate Director at Rawlinson & Hunter and Treasurer of London Women in Tax, she will provide advice on how to progress in your career, what she has learnt during her career path and what she wishes she had known earlier.
Charlotte Hobrough - a Director at BDO and Secretary of London Women in Tax, she will share her thoughts on how to positively manage your mental health whilst navigating career, children and the rest of life's challenges.
We will finish with a discussion on what we would tell our younger self so we can all take away top tips from our fellow attendees.
