About this Event
The second Ride Like a Girl workshop of 2026 offers a hands-on opportunity to review gear and try bicycling with a load on your bike: What types of gear suits my camping style? What should I practice before going camping? How do I show up ready to bike camp?
The workshop aims to build muscle memory and confidence among women, trans, femme, and non-binary folks who want to learn about bike camping from participants of past Ride Like a Girl trips. Beginners as well as those wanting to connect are welcome. Participants under 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Topics we will discuss include
- What is Ride Like A Girl?
- How do I choose my gear?
- What does a fully-loaded bike feel like?
- How do I prepare for a bike camping trip?
- Info about the Bike Camping Trip on June 27-28 at Coyote Hills Regional Park
