About this Event
This is a powerful memoir that will allow the readers to follow along Ruth Redmon’s journey facing health challenges from toddler age through adulthood, along with facing gender discrimination while employed as a female firefighter to being diagnosed with breast cancer. However, the author beat all odds by being resilient, transparent and having unwavering optimism.
WITHIN THE FIRE, I FOUND MY VOICE depicts humor, real life adventures as well as tearing moments. The main focus is inspiration: to aspire others to go through the challenging phases of hurt, denial, and acceptance to living life as God's plan.
Ruth Redmond is joining us on the Busboys stage alongside award-winning, best-selling author Jessica Tilles to discuss this empowering memoir and what inspired Redmond to share her story. Copies of the book will be available for purchase during and after the event, and Redmond will be signing following the program.
