This year 2 of Helen's friends, Karen & Michelle are planning to complete their 100th parkruns on the day 🥳🥳
We invite you to enjoy a fun parkrun together.
In the spirit of this event, invite some friends who haven't been for a while to return to us for our Mid-Winter Tutu parkrun. It's guaranteed to put a smile on everyone's face.
No fundraising involved - just for fun & inspired by of one of our parkrunning friends who managed to somehow pull off one those surprisingly tricky Milestone/Date combinations and celebrated her 60th parkrun on her 60th Birthday back in Jan 2019🎉
Helen Stevens appeared out of nowhere that day when we were setting up in drizzly January weather with tray after tray of the most delicious iced cakes 😋
Accompanied by friends and tutus - she did it, the feat was accomplished 🥳
Just a few weeks later, Helen died.
Her friends and family chose to gather to remember Helen in a way she would have approved of and came together to walk and run at Chippenham parkrun in March 2019 and gave us one of our record parkrun attendances outside of Christmas and NY.
For our event on the 17th, if you are able to bring cakes or chocolates to share, we'll put them onto our tables around the finish area.
But mainly just turn up in a tutu and have some fun!!
