🌿 What We’ll See Along the Way:
Less than 30 minutes from London by train, well arrive at the Knole House Estate, a medieval deer park preserved the the National Trust. The park is one of England’s largest enclosed deer parks, where wide open lawns and ancient trees create a calm estate for the deer to roam.
As we cross the park, we’ll keep an eye out for:
- Free-roaming deer (often spotted, but never guaranteed)
- Winter woodland landscapes
- A variety of birdlife and native fauna
- Open parkland views and historic English estates
Leaving the park, the route continues through quieter woodland and countryside paths toward Ightham Mote, a 14th centruary medieval moated manor. We'll stop for refreshments in the cafe and peak into one of the largest National Trust gift shops, before heading back on our walk towards One Tree Hill - a beautiful local viewpoint - before following a woodland train back to the train station to finish.
