Winning The Enchantments Lottery & Protecting the Places We Love
The Enchantments Permit Lottery is February 15 through March 1, 2025
To say The Enchantments are beautiful is an understatement. No matter what time of year you visit, they are drop-dead gorgeous and worth the strenuous hike, and the hoops you have to jump through to get there.
Interest in The Enchantments has skyrocketed. In the past 10 years, Enchantment permit applictions have increased by nearly 1,500%!! According to the Forest Service, this year, a record 40,032 people applied for the advanced permit lottery. With approximately 2,500 permits available, only 6% were lucky enough to secure a permit -- making it the second most difficult backpacking permit to secure . That’s because these precious resources need our help to protect them from being loved to death.
Join The US Forest Service, Leave No Trace and Kula Cloth on January 23rd for a Zoom Webinar about Enchantments, what it takes to win a permit AND to leave it better than you found it with Leave No Trace and proper backcountry hygience practices.
