About this Event
Do you ever ask your child “how was your day?” and receive a frustratingly short answer, or none at all?
These missed opportunities in conversation are painful for everyone. Both kids and parents want to feel connected — but sometimes we’re just using the wrong tools.
In this talk, author and educator Chris Balme will explore how some conversations flop, why your usual questions may stop working as your child enters adolescence, and how to find new and better ways to have meaningful conversations.
Because as children grow, so does their capacity for beautiful conversations — if we know how to access it!
Chris Balme is an education leader, writer, and school founder, passionate about helping young people discover more of their human potential. Chris currently serves as Founding Principal at Hakuba International School. His book, , was published in 2022 and became a bestseller in adolescent psychology.
Parents/caregivers, students, educators, health professionals, and community members welcome! Simultaneous Spanish interpretation will be available. Free admission.
