About this Event

A Guided Exploration of Austria’s Wine Regions

Austria is one of Europe’s most exciting wine-producing countries, known for its precision, freshness, and distinctive regional character. In this guided tasting of six wines, we’ll explore the major wine regions of Austria and the grape varieties that define them, including Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, and Blaufränkisch.

Together, we’ll travel through regions such as Wachau, Kamptal, Kremstal, Burgenland, and Steiermark, learning how geography, climate, and tradition shape Austria’s unique wine styles. Along the way, you’ll gain practical tools for understanding Austrian wine labels, identifying hallmark flavor profiles, and recognizing what makes these wines stand out on the world stage.

Whether you’re new to Austrian wine or looking to deepen your appreciation, this tasting offers an approachable and engaging introduction to one of Europe’s most dynamic wine cultures.
