The Re-Loved Market is a multifaceted event in the Winchelsea community that encourages community connection and coming together whilst also promoting sustainable shopping and recycling. This is in addition a fundraising opportunity for the Winchelsea Community House, bringing in much needed funds to be put back into future community based activities and events.
All events offered at the Community House and Shire Hall are thoughtfully designed to give our local community the opportunity to connect and belong to our town, we also intend that visitors who may otherwise just drive through will stop at the market, explore and support other local businesses while they're here.
In a world full of fast fashion and single use items with low or no durability Events like the Re-Loved market create the opportunity to buy quality pre-loved goods and bypass over-consumerism by using what has been pre-loved but still has plenty of life left in it. This also means saving money on new things, especially clothing items, bonus! Stalls are not just for fully fledged Vintage businesses but also for anyone wanting to sell Pre-loved, recycled or repurposed items.
The Winchelsea Community House, like most Victorian neighborhood houses needs additional funding to continue to support our community. Each stall fee and gold coin donation helps to offer more children's programs, business assistance and networking, adult education and training and fun, affordable community events and workshops.
