About this Event
Join us for afternoon tea to celebrate the exhibition Neighbourhood: What does the Library mean to you? at Deakin’s Waurn Ponds Library Gallery.
showcases the diversity and creativity of Deakin students, featuring artworks from the annual Library Artwork Competition and responses to the prompt “What does the Library mean to you?”
The exhibition reflects many perspectives on what the Deakin Library means to our community, presenting the Library as more than a place to study, and as a place of creativity, belonging and connection.
Visitors to the exhibition are invited to participate by decorating a paper house and adding it to a growing collaborative installation: a paper neighbourhood reflecting the vibrancy of our community.
This event is a chance to see the exhibition in its final stages, meet and applaud the student artists whose work is displayed, and recognise the many students who have helped build the paper neighbourhood.
All welcome.
Please register your attendance for catering purposes.
