Wilmington, we have an opportunity to build something meaningful for our community.
We’re bringing together local nonprofits, sports organizations, and community leaders through the launch of the Cape Fear Sports & Community Coalition. The goal is simple: create a shared effort to support the future of sports, community infrastructure, and opportunities across the Cape Fear region.
Join us at Riverfront Park for Arena Rising, a Carolina Hurricanes playoff watch party and community festival with live music, interactive experiences, and family-friendly activities along the riverfront.
This event is more than just a watch party. It’s a chance to bring people together, build momentum, and start laying the groundwork for what comes next. That includes expanding access to sports and supporting long-term, community-driven projects like a multi-purpose arena.
Proceeds from the event will go toward event costs, feasibility work, and continued development as we move this effort forward.
Come out, be part of it, and help shape what’s next for Wilmington.
🏒 We expect there is a high probability that Game 4 of Round 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs will take place that evening (official NHL schedule pending confirmation). If so, we’ll be watching it together on a large outdoor screen along the riverfront!
