About this Event
Wills for Heroes is a free legal clinic offered by the North Carolina Bar Foundation in which volunteer attorneys draft simple wills, health care power of attorney, financial power of attorney, and advance directive, documents for first responders and their families, free of charge. First responders who are eligible for this clinic include active and sworn firefighters, law enforcement officers, and EMS personnel.
Wills for Heroes clinics are conducted in a part virtual/part in-person format. The in-person notary clinic will be held at the North Carolina Bar Association, 8000 Weston Pkwy, Cary, NC 27513.
By completing this registration, you are committing to one virtual appointment the morning of March 10, 2026, and one in-person drop-in on March 11, 2026.
VIRTUAL APPOINTMENT: a 10:00 am or 12:00 pm virtual/Zoom meeting on March 10, 2026, with a volunteer attorney to review your client questionnaire and prepare your documents. A Zoom meeting link will be emailed to you prior to the clinic; you must be able to access a Zoom meeting via a computer or mobile phone in order to participate in the clinic.

IN-PERSON NOTARY CLINIC: Drop-in hours with a notary to print and sign your documents held at the North Carolina Bar Association, 8000 Weston Pkwy, Cary, NC 27513 (Conf. RM B) on March 11, 2026, from 9:30 am - 2:30 pm. No appointment is necessary; please drop in at a time that fits your schedule.
If you are registering with your spouse, please register for only 1 time slot and note "spouse attending" where indicated in the registration process.
