About this Event
Aged 16 - 30? Interested in taking action to help Surrey's nature? Then join our reserves team as they undertake practical conservation tasks to improve our nature reserves for wildlife.
For this session you will join the team in clearing the scrub at this important Heathland site.
Tea, coffee and of course biscuits are provided along with any safety clothing and equipment you may need - just bring lunch, wear sturdy shoes (walking boots or wellies) and dress for the weather with waterproofs and warm layers. Staff will run through the risk assessment at the start of each session. Volunteers will be required to verbally confirm they understand and accept the potential risks.
This event is part of our Youth Action for Nature programme, which is designed to create more opportunities for young people with an interest in wildlife, enabling them to learn how to use the platforms they use every day to become ambassadors for nature.
Please note - this session is for young people aged 16 - 30 years old. If you are 16 - 17, you must return a completed to [email protected] before you are able to attend.
