Wild Woman Celebrating Samhain

Join us for a truly magical Samhain event, a time to honour the turning of the Wheel of the Year, reconnect with the earth, and tap into the strength within ourselves. Samhain signals the end of the harvest and the start of a New Year, making it the perfect time to welcome the darker half of the year and prepare for the winter ahead. It’s a season ripe for reflection on themes of gratitude, letting go, darkness, and stillness, all while taking time to connect with the natural world. Together, we will honour the rhythms of the earth and the cycles within us. This gathering is designed to be a deeply nourishing experience, bringing us together in sisterhood amidst the serene beauty of a private woodland space.
What to Expect:
Forest Bathing: Immerse yourself in the healing energies of the forest. We'll take a gentle, mindful walk through the woods, allowing nature's sights, sounds, and smells to soothe our minds and ground our bodies.
Fire Circle: Gather around the warmth of the fire, where we'll share stories, intentions, and wisdom. The fire serves as a sacred space for transformation and connection, helping us to release what no longer serves and welcome new energy into our lives.
Women's Circle: In this sacred space, we will connect deeply, sharing our thoughts, feelings, and experiences. This is a time to be heard, to support each other, and to honour the divine feminine within us all.
Journaling: Reflect on your journey during this season of change. We'll provide prompts and time for you to explore your thoughts, insights, and intentions in a personal journal.
Wild Teas and Treats: Enjoy nourishing teas made from wildcrafted herbs, along with delicious, wholesome treats that celebrate the earth's abundance.
Earth Altars: Together, we will create beautiful altars using natural materials gathered from the woodland. These altars will serve as a focal point for our intentions and reflections, helping us connect more deeply with the earth.
Important Details:
The meeting point for the event is at the car park at Duddingston Kirk on Duddingston Road West, directly across from Holy Rood High School. The entrance to the car park is just before the turnoff to Old Church Lane. After parking, we’ll take a brief walk of a few minutes to reach the nature reserve.
What to wear: Please wear, walking boots, waterproofs, and appropriate layer clothing.
What to bring: you may wish to bring a thermos, of tea, a cup, a pen, a journal, snacks of your choice
We will run the session in all weathers except high winds or extreme cold. If the session is cancelled you will be contacted with as much notice as possible.
This event is intentionally kept small, with spaces limited to 12 women, to ensure that we can fully honour each attendee and create a safe, sacred space for deep connection.
Come, join us fireside, to connect with yourself, our earth, and each other during this powerful time of year. Let us root ourselves in the nourishing embrace of nature and find the inner strength that Samhain calls forth in each of us.
Nature for Wellness is committed to accessibility and inclusivity in our events. We offer a sliding scale ticket option with a reduced-rate Community Access Ticket to ensure cost is not a barrier. Additionally, our Supporter Ticket allows those who can contribute more to help us continue our mission of fostering an open and supportive wellness community.
Spaces are limited—reserve your spot now to be part of this transformative experience.
I look forward to seeing you in the sacred space of circle.
