About this Event
Coinciding with London Open Gardens 2026, Rochester Square is proud to present WILD, an outdoor sculpture exhibition bringing together the work of 8 contemporary artists whose practices engage with hybridity and the relationship between the natural and the constructed.
Curated by Laura Bartlett, WILD revisits mythological and folkloric imaginaries through contemporary sculpture and includes works by Tai Shani, Jonathan Baldock, Lucia Pizzani, Saelia Aparicio, Anne Ryan, Sarah Staton, RafaĆ Zajko and Francesca Anfossi.
Within mythological and folkloric traditions, gardens have long been populated by hybrid figures including fauns, gargoyles and other mystic characters that blur the distinction between human and animal. Installed throughout the garden at Rochester Square, the works function in dialogue with the site's surroundings, emerging as mystic presences within the flora.
