Curious about the hidden medicine growing all around us?Join herbalist and naturalist Angelina Keselburg for a fun and fascinating introduction to California native plants at City Farmers Nursery.
Weβll begin in the nursery getting to know several native plants up close β learning how to recognize them, exploring their traditional medicinal uses, and uncovering fun ethnobotanical stories and ecological connections.
Then weβll take a short stroll across the parking lot to Rose Canyon Open Space Park to see these same plants growing wild in their natural habitat.
Along the way youβll pick up plant ID tips, medicinal insights, and a deeper appreciation for the native plants that shape our local landscape.
Please bring:

β’ A notebook and pen if youβd like to take notes
Note: We wonβt be walking far on the trail, but it is unpaved.

If you're attending a free class and are able to walk a short distance (of 1 block), please consider parking on Altadena Ave and walking over. This keeps our lot available and flowing for customers shopping at our three businesses who may be on tight schedules. We greatly appreciate your spirit of generosity when it comes to our shared space.
π When classes fill up, a full parking lot can prevent other shoppers from visiting our stores. By parking on the street, you help ensure everyone can access our businesses and our neighbors continue to thrive. As our classes gain in popularity, we want to continue to welcome you, but it needs to be a βwinβ for everyone. Street parking is one way you can make that possible.
