Make meaningful mini zines with us to celebrate the launch and themes of new queer YA novel "Wild & Beyond" by Celina Belotti.
About this Event

January invites reflection and renewal: looking ahead, who do you want to be in the world? what do you want to say?

Let's use this space to look forward and grow into who you want to become, using writing and zine-making as your outlet for exploration.

To mark the release of "Wild & Beyond" by Celina Belotti, join Queer Writers Circle and Cut Out Club for a guided art event exploring identity, change and community through zine-making and creative writing.

Through gentle writing prompts and collage-making techniques, guests will create their own fold-out poster zine that champions who they want to be in the year ahead.

No zine-making or writing experience needed, and all materials will be provided!

This event has been designed to be a gentle, supportive space for connection, creativity, and celebrating storytelling from all voices in our community.

Held at The Peoples Letters, an East London-based indie bookshop that champions zines and independent voices from around the world, each ticket includes a complimentary hot drinks + all proceeds support local community groups.

About :

Charlie and Marcus Tucci are twins, but they can’t stand each other.

Charlie loves books, zombie movies, and greasy pizza. Marcus thrives in the spotlight as the school’s swimming star and cringes at how awkward his sister can be. They don’t talk, they don’t hang out, and they definitely don’t team up.

But things weren’t always like this. Back when their parents were still together, the twins and their best friend Sam were inseparable. Now, Charlie is left to find her own way while Marcus and Sam bask in the glories of their jock lives.

When heartbreak – and the worst guy you’ve ever met – threatens to take them both down, the Tuccis are forced to work together. With the help of a group of misfits and a zine that blows up everything fake about the awful people in their school, they might discover they have more in common than they thought.

The Summer I Turned Pretty meets Heartstopper in a story about twins, friendship, and a romance that will catch you by surprise.

The book is available from Amazon and Queerazon. See more on Goodreads and a review on Reedsy here.
