About this Event
Most people choose the colours in their home by feel. They pick something they like in a paint store, bring it home, and live with the result. Sometimes loving it. Sometimes wondering why the room never quite feels right.
Colour is not just visual. It directly shapes how we feel, think, and behave in a space. The wrong palette in a bedroom affects sleep. The wrong tones in a kitchen affect how long people linger. The wrong choice in a living room affects how relaxed a household feels on a daily basis.
Tracie Eaton has spent her career at the intersection of art, colour psychology, and occupational therapy. In this session she shares the principles behind why certain spaces feel right. And gives you the practical tools to apply them in your own home, whether you are renovating, building, or simply ready to make a change.
What you'll take away
- Why colour affects mood, behaviour, and perception. And how this applies directly to residential spaces.
- The difference between choosing colour emotionally and choosing it deliberately
- Which tones support calm, focus, energy, and connection. And where each belongs in a home.
- How to assess whether the colours in your current home are working for or against you
- Practical colour principles you can apply immediately, without a designer
